SHOW YOUR TEETH SOME LOVE
Routine Care and Teeth Cleening
Most of us do our best to keep our teeth healthy. We will brush after every meal if we can and even floss faithfully. However, these measures aren’t sufficient for perfect oral health. For that, we recommend our patients come for a professionally cleaning session on a regular basis. As you will learn below, Alison B. Lubyansky DDS takes dental cleaning quite seriously. We are thorough, and our patients love the outcome. They walk out with smiles brighter than before. Although it is important, you know that a professional tooth cleaning session isn't done just to improve the appearance.
BENEFITS OF CLEANING
Our patients benefit greatly from routine cleaning sessions. You can too! Not only will our preventative services give a new shine to your smile, but it will also help your teeth stay strong for longer. Bacteria in the mouth can cause the build-up of sticky plaque, which covers your teeth and harms them. Besides the plaque, calculus or tartar deposits may form, and they can be difficult to remove. Dentists use special tools to get rid of all of this. Allowed to proliferate, bacteria will cause tooth decay, or lead to gum disease. Don’t take teeth cleaning lightly because the infection can lead to inflammation and more!
We also recommend that you let the professionals perform the cleaning because the following procedures cannot be attempted at home adequately:
- Application of fluoride
- Application of sealants (for children)
- Removal of tartar and plaque build-ups
- Removing and treatment of stains
- Teeth polishing
- Application/re-applying of fillings and crowns
DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
We don’t mean just a thorough cleaning when we talk about routine care. Besides the dental cleaning procedure, we also provide our patients with the following services:
- Gum tissue health evaluation
- X-rays to catch tooth decay in its infancy
- Checking for other questionable dental issues
- Oral cancer screening
- Bite examination and recommendations for correction
Depending on your dental health, we will discuss the issue with you. Some issues can be corrected in the same visit as when you come for your routine cleaning session. Others might need multiple visits, and we will let you know how often you’d need to come in for treatment. Still, other issues may call for the opinion of other experts. Regardless of the condition, we will discuss it all with you right away!
